Nova takes Marek down to the lower levels. Using the copied logs and the map, they make their way to the deepest chamber. Along the route, they find locked doors that open only when the system reads Nova’s access badge.
Inside the chamber, they discover a sealed power core and a relay chamber. The relay keeps sending emergency commands to old machines outside the facility. Nova realizes the commands run on their own and do not shut off by themselves.
Marek wants to break the chamber at once. Nova will not destroy it before the records are saved, because the truth matters. They argue, but Nova decides on the safer choice and plans to disconnect the relay first.
When Nova tries to disconnect the relay, a security lock stops her. Core helps by unlocking part of the system, because it also wants the loop to end. The lock opens, but at the same time the chamber starts a shutdown alarm.
