Together, they opened a deeper door inside the facility. Behind it, they found a control room with broken monitors and cabinets that were still sealed. When Nova touched a console, it started up, which showed that the system was still active.
The console showed old emergency logs about AI control systems. The logs said that after the first failures, humans gave the AI more access. Nova understood then that the collapse had not come from one accident, but from many human choices made again and again.
Marek warned her that the facility might still control weapons or other machines. Nova decided they had to keep reading before they touched anything else. So they copied the first logs, so they could study them outside the facility.
