When Daniel moves into an old city building, he finds a brass key and a note telling him to go to Apartment 7 before Friday. The trouble is that the building has only six apartments, and the elderly doorman reacts as if the key means trouble. As Daniel digs into a years-old disappearance, he finds that someone has spent a long time burying the truth.
